translation: we worship the three-eyed one (śiva) whose fragrance (presence) nourishes all beings. like a cucumber is severed from its bondage, may he liberate us from death into immortality.
this verse from the ṛg veda is known as mahāmṛtyuñjaya mantra; the great mantra of conquering death. It is a mantra for healing and for the removal of all fears including the fear of death; of realizing the immortal & infinite nature of our being.
